Implants are used mostly in patients who wear full dentures or partial dentures. Dental implants can be used to improve retention for a removable denture through snapping attachments. A fixed denture also can be made over implants in which a patient’s dentures are fixed/bolted to the implants. These type of prostheses must be planned by a prosthodontist specialist.
